
Regulatory Compliance Officer
Location: Remote (with occasional UK-based meetings) UK candidates preferred but may consider well suited candidates from overseas.
Employment: Type Full-Time Permanent. May consider Contractors.
Salary Range: £50,000 - £75,000 annually (dependent on experience, negotiable with equity options/ cryptocurrency)

Job Overview: Helios is revolutionizing solar energy with an AI-powered MPPT controller that achieves 98-99% efficiency, "Helios Coin" (HLC), minted via our patented Energy-Synchronized Cryptographic Proof of Efficiency (PoE) system. We are seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Officer to ensure our innovative solution complies with global financial and environmental regulations. This role will oversee the compliance of our upcoming coin launch, navigate complex regulatory landscapes, and position Helios as a leader in the £1.51 trillion renewable energy market.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations, EU Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, and other relevant jurisdictions. Register Helios as a crypto-asset business with the FCA and implement Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols.
Policy Development: Draft and maintain compliance policies for token minting, buyback-and-burn mechanisms, and data security (e.g., TPM integration), aligning with ISO 20022 standards for financial messaging interoperability.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate regulatory risks, such as sanctions or crypto bans, and advise on structuring HLC as a utility or security token offering (STO) to meet legal requirements.
ICO Oversight: Coordinate with the blockchain developer to ensure smart contracts comply with regulatory standards, supporting the Q4 2025 launch and Phase 5 main-net (July 2028).
Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with legal advisors, renewable energy regulators (e.g., EU REPowerEU), and financial institutions to secure partnerships and certifications.
Reporting and Audits: Prepare compliance reports for investors and conduct internal audits to verify PoE data integrity and HLC distribution.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) preferred.
Experience: 3-5+ years in regulatory compliance, preferably in fintech, cryptocurrency, or renewable energy sectors. Familiarity with blockchain token launches is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of smart contracts, ISO 20022, and data security (e.g., TPM, cryptographic validation).
Regulatory Expertise: Proven track record with FCA, MiCA, or similar frameworks; experience with KYC/AML implementation.
Communication: Strong ability to liaise with technical teams and external regulators.
Analytical Skills: Ability to assess market trends and regulatory changes in the £3.60-4.86 trillion renewable market by 2033.
